Your Label, Our Factory: Custom Garment Manufacturing from Jaipur

By Aman Enterprises · Manufacturing & OEM · 8 min read

Artisan embroidery detail — Jaipur custom manufacturing

Every successful fashion brand has a manufacturer behind it. The question isn't whether to outsource production — it's where to find a partner who can deliver consistent quality, transparent pricing, and the flexibility to grow with you. For European boutiques, independent brands, and private label buyers, Jaipur, India has been that answer for decades.

At Aman Enterprises, we operate a full custom manufacturing service for wholesale buyers across Germany, Europe, and globally. Whether you're launching a new label, expanding an existing range, or looking to move production to a more cost-effective and ethically sound supplier — this guide explains what we offer and how it works.

What Is Custom Garment Manufacturing?

Custom manufacturing means we produce garments according to your specifications — your design, your label, your brand. Unlike buying from a ready catalogue, you control the fabric, colour, print, cut, sizing, packaging, and labelling. The result is a product that is uniquely yours, not available anywhere else.

This is distinct from OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing), where we produce to a technical spec you supply, and private label, where we produce our existing styles under your brand name. We offer all three models — and many buyers combine them.

"The best-selling boutique collections in Europe this season aren't coming from fast-fashion wholesalers. They're coming from buyers who found the right manufacturer and built something of their own."

The Process: From Brief to Delivery

Custom manufacturing feels complex from the outside, but with the right partner, it follows a clear and predictable path. Here is how we work with new clients:

Step 1 — Initial Brief

Send us your brief: the styles you want, approximate quantities, your target retail price point, and any brand guidelines (colours, feel, customer profile). This can be as informal as a reference image and a WhatsApp message — we work with buyers at every stage of brand development.

Step 2 — Fabric & Material Selection

We present fabric options from our mill network in Rajasthan and Gujarat. You receive physical swatches for approval before any sampling begins. We stock cotton, linen, khadi, cotton-linen blends, and handloom fabrics. GOTS-aligned organic options are available.

Step 3 — Sample Development

We produce 1–2 samples per style. Samples are shipped to you via DHL Express (typically 3–5 days to Germany). Sample cost is charged against the first production order. We iterate on samples until you are satisfied — most styles take 1–2 rounds of sampling.

Step 4 — Tech Pack & Approval

Once you approve the sample, we finalise the tech pack — a full technical document specifying every measurement, construction detail, fabric spec, and finish. This becomes the production benchmark and quality control reference for every unit produced.

Step 5 — Bulk Production

Bulk production begins after a 30–50% advance payment. Production capacity is 20,000+ pieces per month across all categories. Lead time from order confirmation is 30–45 days for standard styles, 45–60 days for embroidered or handloom items.

Step 6 — QC & Shipping

Every order undergoes a pre-shipment quality check. We share a QC report with photos before final payment is released. Shipment by sea freight (cost-effective for orders above 500 pieces) or air freight (for smaller or urgent orders). All export documentation — commercial invoice, certificate of origin, packing list, composition certificate — provided as standard.

Custom Manufacturing — Quick Reference

Why European Buyers Choose Jaipur for Custom Manufacturing

Jaipur has been a centre of textile and garment production for over 500 years. The city is home to a deep ecosystem of fabric mills, block-print artisans, embroiderers, tailors, and export houses — all within a few kilometres of each other. This concentration of craft means that something genuinely difficult to source elsewhere — a hand block-printed, hand-embroidered linen co-ord set in a custom colourway — is achievable here at commercial wholesale prices.

For European buyers specifically, Jaipur offers several advantages that Bangladesh or China-based production cannot match:

The Germany Advantage

What makes Aman Enterprises different from other Jaipur export houses is our operational base in Friedberg, Germany. This means:

"Having a supplier with a German office changes everything about the working relationship. You're not emailing into a timezone void — you're having a conversation."

Who Is Custom Manufacturing Right For?

Custom manufacturing works best for buyers who are ready to commit to a consistent range rather than picking from a catalogue each season. It's the right choice if:

If you're ordering from a catalogue for the first time, that's a perfectly valid starting point. Many of our long-term custom manufacturing clients started with 2–3 catalogue styles to test the relationship before moving to custom development.
